There are moments in life that create a before and an after.
Venice is the personal and artistic watershed of Aymone Poletti.
After the success of the Venetian exhibition PRECIOUS: Memory \ Growth / Life, the artist returns to her native Ticino to propose a synthesis of her twenty-year career and her most recent production: monotypes, works with salt, engravings.

Aymone’s intimate works, always suspended between dream and abstraction, with the refinement that is her distinctive mark: the memories, the suggestions, the “signs” that Venice left indelible in her memory.
With the beauty, the contradictions, the intrinsic fragility and all the poetry of the Lagoon.

Among the works in the exhibition, there will be her recent works carried out with the crystallization of salt.
These are interventions on photographs and eggshells, which through special processes of boiling and crystallization with Japanese salts and inks created crystalline incrustations as if they were slowly lichens grown on a rocky surface.
On the other hand, the other important part of Aymone’s artistic narrative is entrusted to the monotype: a process that, while remaining within the printing limits, has the peculiar characteristic of exploiting the chalcographic matrix not for a multiplication of the image, but rather to obtain original and unique impressions.

Venezia che muore,
Venezia appoggiata sul mare,
la dolce ossessione degli ultimi suoi giorni tristi,
Venezia, la vende ai turisti.
