El Xupet Negre
Born in Barcelona in 1969. After his initial studies in graphic design and advertising, he began painting in the streets in 1985, first with a felt-tip pen and then with spray paint. After covering Barcelona, Catalonia and Spain with his art, he began to travel around Europe and America decorating the streets with his “logo”: a black dummy. In this way, he is a forerunner of Logo-Art: he uses his logo to capture the attention of passers-by and deliver his message of love, peace, respect, unity, equality, and freedom. The aim is not only to colour the walls, but also the minds of people. Over the years he has collaborated with the fashion, skate and trainer world. His works are exhibited in some of the world’s most important galleries.
