Adami Valerio (1935)
Born in Bologna, Valerio Adami approached to art since his childhood thanks to the paternal grandfather, a former student of Carducci passionate about literature. Adami studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan and even before graduating he had become known, achieving prestigious awards that permitted him to travel and to settle first in Paris and later in London. In this period Adami deepened his painting style, characterized by the use of saturated colors delimited by black profiles and enriched by references from expressionism, abstractism and Pop Art. In London, Adami increased his knowledge about Anglo-Saxon’s culture and came in contact with the avant-garde movement, especially with Francis Bacon. From the Sixties he started to participate at international exhibitions that established him in the Olympus of contemporary art.
