Jack Braglia
He was born in Lugano, Switzerland, in 1996, but now lives in London. Despite his young age he has already exhibited in several solo shows in London, Venice and Cortina d’Ampezzo. In 2019 his works entitled #MayYouLiveToHelpWalkers, which address the issue of migration from Africa, the Middle East and Syria, are presented at the Venice Biennale. In the same year he received the International Visvamitra Award, Excellence in Art, in Syracuse. Through his works Giacomo “Jack” Braglia wants to send strong messages related to social issues and evoke deep feelings in the observer. His technique aims at making photography three-dimensional thanks to the application on supports of different shapes in plaster, aluminium, steel and iron.
