Description
Esctal Christian (1955)
French artist and sculptor, Esctal got close to art in his childhood: Cubism, Figuration Libre and Art Brut were for him the first sources of inspiration.
Following a period of artistic training, he approached during the Eighties to a personal style, characterized by the originality of his various production: works on paper, canvas, collages and sculptures. In his work, Esctal accurately synthesized the contemporary era: culture, fashion, graphics, news, shapes and colors, anticipating the artistic trends of the 21st century. His works are today in private collections, between Europe and the United States. Since 1980, Esctal has exhibited mainly in Paris, at the Salon des Independants, at the Marché d’Art Contemporain, in many art galleries, and in Germany, in Cologne.
